Ended Venden 2025 Children’s drawing competition Water in our world / day

Elena Kozlova, Marketing Director of Venden, points out that this year’s activity has exceeded the competition in previous years. “We are really pleased that not only the amount of drawings submitted, but also the activity from educational institutions throughout Latvia is increasing every year! This year we beat several records, including almost 36% more drawings than last year. Each author of the drawing submitted will receive beautiful diplomas for participating in the competition.

The most or 1763 drawings have been submitted by educational institutions from Riga. Teachers have also been active in Daugavpils (352 drawings), Liepaja (345 drawings), Cesis county (290 drawings) and elsewhere. In total, children’s works from 35 regions of Latvia and 7 nationals were submitted to the competition.

For several years in a row, including this year, all submitted children’s drawings were carefully evaluated by an independent creative jury consisting of two artists – members of the Latvian Artists’ Union and Talivaldis Muzik and Ieva Muzikante. This year, due to the large amount of submitted works, the evaluation process was difficult. It took several days, during which every drawing was carefully and attention evaluated to highlight those with the best discovery of the theme, the child’s creative view and the artistic expression.

Talivaldis Musician comments on the jury’s assessment: “This year’s work surprised with even higher quality and diversity of creative ideas. We appreciated the huge contribution of teachers to teach children different techniques – watercolors, gouache, felt, felt, chalks, pencils, collages, 3 dimensions. Meaning and its various manifestations in our life. Many thanks to all the participants and teachers.

The winners, both in the artistic jury and in the public vote, were determined in 4 categories by the age of the authors of the drawing and in the number of individuals or in the group. After several days of work, the artistic jury selected 14 winners, almost 100 promotion prize and more than 200 thanksgiving for the recipients of artistic performances. In the public vote, the winners were determined by the activity of the supporters, voting from March 21 to 31 on drawings with one to five smiles at www.uensdien.lv. As a result of the vote, 12 winners and 28 promotion awards were identified. The educational institution represented by the first place in each category receives EUR 500 for the purchase of sports or useful materials, the second place is received by the educational institution represented by 300 EUR and the third – 200 EUR. The authors of the drawings receive a prize from the Venden Cooperation Partner’s Family Entertainment and Recreation Park « Adventica », located in the Olimpia shopping center in Riga, and gifts from « Venden ».

On the other hand, the artistic jury of 3rd place gave the following drawings:

• « Little Sussia Spring », group « Taurenis », 5 years, Pre -school educational institution « Abelite » of Jekabpils region;

The competition regulations stipulate that the educational institution can only win 1 (one) cash prize in each category of public vote. In this case, the authors of the drawings are rewarded according to the places they have obtained, but the prize pool is channeled to the next place to the educational institution (s).

Winner of the third place prize:

• « Save the water », Elza P., Estere L., Amelia G., Oliver G., Maria L., 6 years, Madliena preschool educational institution « Taurenītis ».

Venden’s prize this year was awarded to Druva High School pre -school educational institution’s six -year -old group « Zaķēni » with a drawing « Water Fall », which was created in mosaic technique with gouache -colored and cut pieces of paper. The authors of the work receive a thanks to the artistic performance, gifts from « Venden », as well as a prize from the « Adventica » of the Family Partner’s Family Entertainment and Recreation Park, which is located in the Olimpia shopping center. The educational institution represented by the winners of the prize receives a cash prize of EUR 500 for sports or for training useful materials.
