This meeting not only noted the work of the outgoing leadership, but also became a starting line for a new phase – the president, the new association board and the Control Committee were elected, and the ambitious activities were presented for the next two years.

Darius Vaičiulis, the President of KTU Alumni, who graduated from KTU Alumni, was pleased with the successful growing community, and the newly elected association leader, Rimantas Lekavičius, Deputy Director of Kaunas State Musical Theater, invited the alumni to become part of the change – from mentoring to young students to regions and international relations.
The Board of the KTU Alumni Association, headed by D. Vaičiulis, Director of UAB Spaineta, has been actively working in the last two years to strengthen the relationship between alumni and the university.

Members of the Board, including Vida Draugutė (head of KTU Alumni Center, delegated representative of KTU), Tomas Urbonas (director of UAB Sonaro), Rolandas Malios (owner of UAB Terix), Juozas Tunaitis (technical director of UAB HDRGEN UAB), Mantas Raišys (MB, Incon. Director of Transera), Agnė Šulčiūtė (Associate Professor at KTU Faculty of Chemical Technology), Eglė Liubancaitė (Vice President of KTU SA organization, delegated representative of KTU Student Representation) coordinated various alumni network development activities and initiatives.
Through their efforts, the Alumni community became more involved and visible both internally and in society. Aleksandr Garasinkin (head of Kiwa Inspecta control body), Robertas Alzbutas (Professor at KTU Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences), Romualdas Taurozas (Deputy Director of UAB « Statybų Vizija ») contributed to the evaluation of strategic solutions and sustainable growth in the organization.

The new president introduced himself
During the General Meeting, R.Lekavičius, Deputy Director of Kaunas State Musical Theater, Kaunas City, was unanimously elected President of KTU Alumni Association. Member of the trap. He is not only an active professional in culture, but is also firmly convinced that the alumni community is a strong social capital that can significantly contribute to the progress of the university.
« For me, the alumni community is an opportunity to mobilize people who want to create, share and return. KTU has given me not only education but also value spine, so now is the time to reinforce this connection with those who are important to contribute, » said the new President R. Lekavičius.
During the general meeting, the new KTU Alumni Association Board and the Control Committee were elected for a two -year term. The new Board consists of:
Vilius Šemeta (Technology Director of Orlen Lietuva AB), Edvinas Rajuncas (CEO of UAB « ES Security »), Vladas Lašas (Lithuanian businessman and public figure, founder and CEO of UAB UAB UAB, Juozas Tunaitis (UAB HDRGen Technical Director) Butkuvienė (Deputy Director of Kaunas District Cultural Center, Member of Kaunas District Municipal Council). KTU Rector prof. dr. Eugenijus Valatka delegated Vidas Drėutė, the head of the Alumni Center, and the KTU Student Representation – Vice President of the Organization Eglė Liubancaitė.
The newly elected management will seek to continue the work that has begun and to enable the alumni network for even more meaningful activities and the interface with Alma Mater. The attraction of one of the first activities is the recruitment of patrons and the establishment of the inviolable capital fund.
