Katya Maer lives with her parents and an older brother in Omsk. The girl has a total obstetric paralysis of the right hand – the result of the injury that Katya received during childbirth: the girl got stuck in the birth canal, she was extended by the hand in a state of clinical death. Resuscitators were able to return Katya to life, but the right hand remained motionless. Now, in order for the muscles to begin to work, it is necessary to stage surgical treatment for the reconstruction of the shoulder nervous plexus. But the treatment is expensive, Katya parents do not have that kind of money.

If Katya knew how to speak, she would probably tell how dad in the morning, leaving for work, smiles at her, kisses the top of the head and waves goodbye. Then mom and Katya in her arms go to the window, and they wave after dad for a long time. Of course, the girl herself has not yet learned to do this, but dad really hopes that soon his daughter will wave in response to him – and with the right pen too.

Katya would also say that her mother constantly whispers in her ear: “Everything will be fine! You will definitely recover. If you want, you will play a piano or guitar. Or ride a bicycle. Or draw the most beautiful picture. And very soon you will hug me and dad tightly with both pens. ”

Vera and Harry met on the Internet.

“We were already adults, each has a marriage behind each, so we did not rush events, looked closely, slowly recognized each other,” says Vera. “And gradually, without shocks and passions, confidence and love came.”

For many years, the dreams of faith and Harry were not destined to come true. All the more joyful the news of pregnancy became.

– I still remember that day – when I found out, stood and cried. I could not believe that this finally happened, ”Vera recalls.

The name was chosen, one might say, synchronously: Harry just liked it, and Vera wanted to name the child in honor of her grandmother Catherine. Then there were pleasant chores: buying clothes, toys and even a “pregnant” photo shoot. It seemed that no power in the world could overshadow the happiness of future mom and dad.

But the birth went completely different from how Vera dreamed. At some point, the birth activity stopped, the obstetricians had to stretch out the girl, already blue, by the hand. Instead of a welcoming scream in the maternity room, there was a deafening silence. Doctors ascertained clinical death, immediately began resuscitation. Then there was an artificial coma. When the condition of the child began to improve, the doctors noticed that the right hand hangs like a whip. Katya was transferred to the department of the pathology of newborns, and a month later they wrote out, diagnosing the defeat of the right shoulder nervous plexus – the girl could not move her hand. Recommendations on the treatment doctors were difficult to give.

Vera and Harry began to look for clinics where Katya could help. The doctor replied that this staging treatment was needed – microsurgical reconstruction of the nervous plexus. While Katya is small, you can return the mobility to the hand, and the girl will grow and develop normally, use both hands.

Despite the young age, Katya’s character manifests itself in full swing: she is cheerful, persistent, combat.

– According to the temperament, my daughter is more likely in me: I am a choleric. But outwardly, it looks like a father, especially since both have no hair. True, Katya is temporarily, – Vera laughs. And he adds: – I read that people born, like Katya, on the first day, want to be the first in everything, they are leaders in nature. And it seems to me that you can already see this in my daughter. Catherine is the first!

But, of course, in order for the girl to become a real leader in the future, now she needs to recover.

Katya's parents more than once had to help and save, because Harry is a fireman, and Vera is a nurse. But now they need help themselves. The treatment is very expensive. There are no savings in the family, the income is modest. So, only you and I can help Katya. And in no case do we miss this opportunity?
