EFET: Revolved « Chios mastic bun » from the market – don’t consume it

The day after recalling a batch of brioche with the market praline from the market, EFET withdraws from the market the « Chios Mastic with Mastic – Minos Foods ».

Specifically, EFET, and in particular the Regional Directorate of Western Greece, under the program « Official Control for Monitoring Food Additions and Food Substitutions », carried out a food sampling with the data: « Easter Bed with Mastic » 078C4, 600G net weight packaging, which is produced and packaged in Greece by Minos Foods AEBE based in the Kalyvia Industrial Zone of Attica.

The product was examined by the first section of the 1st Athens Chemical Service of the General Chemistry of the AADE State and was characterized as unsafe and harmful to HEALTH, as this sample was found to contain the « coumarin » substance in a concentration that exceeds the maximum legislation.

EFET has demanded the immediate revocation of the entire batch of this product and the relevant audits are already underway.

Consumers who have purchased the product are called not to consume it.
