A man who previously worked as a school educator in North Zealand is now once again accused of a number of sexual assaults and violations.

The indictment includes seven girls from the school where he was employed until 2017.

It writes BT

The former educator has previously been acquitted in a similar case. In 2018, he was known in court in Lyngby not guilty of committing abusive actions against two girls from the same school.

Now, however, he is back on the prosecution bench – this time with far more and more serious charges.

According to the indictment, the assaults should have happened in the years 2012 to 2017, while the girls were between six and nine years. The defendant rejects all matters and claims that he has fallen victim to an organized revenge action from parents and children who should have been unhappy with his behavior as an educator.

The prosecution refers to previous case

Although the two girls from the previous case are not included in the current trial, the prosecution has tried to use their explanations as evidence of a pattern in the accused’s behavior.

« But the prosecution will argue that this is the same mode that has been charged here, » explained senior prosecutor Tina Davidsen at the introduction of the trial.

However, the judge rejected the prosecutor’s desire to interrogate the two former girls, as the man in that particular case has already been acquitted and therefore their testimony cannot be used to substantiate new charges.

New information led to reopening

It was a girl’s statements at her new school in February 2024 that sparked the investigation again. She said she had been abused at her old school – and according to the indictment, these are repeated cases of sexual acts, including in classrooms, in a toilet and in a utility room. The girl was then six to eight years old.

The police investigation led to contact with another six girls. One of them already reported an abuse in 2017, but the prosecution at that time considered that there was insufficient basis for bringing charges.

That case has now been resumed and included in the overall case complex.

The five remaining girls in the case are described as victims of abusive violations, including touches. In two cases, it is mentioned in the indictment that the girls got a bun after being patted behind.

The defendant claims that there are no teams in any of the claims. He acknowledges that he was in a difficult period due to a divorce and therefore could seem short of the head and strict, which he says is the reason for the girls ‘and parents’ explanations.

« There is a revenge motive in it from all these children and parents’ side, » the former educator said when he was questioned in court.

He no longer works as an educator and has not been affiliated with the school since 2017. He now lives in East Jutland and is today in his 40s. Name bans have been banned in the case.

The court in Lyngby has set aside nine court days for the case, and the verdict is expected to fall on July 4th.
