Ecuador and Venezuelan citizens who traded South American women were shocked
Gave the exhausted compatriots
As already written, the pre-trial investigation, which became the basis of the case, was initiated by the Kaunas police in the autumn of 2023, after a statement by two Venezuelan citizens that they were forcibly kept in a dormitory of Savanorių Avenue to provide sexual services for money. Some of them were 23 and the other was 30 years old.
The authors of the statement stated and were forced to provide sexual services in Lithuania by fraud – they were seduced by promising a well -paid job at a bar or factory.
After the commencement of a pre-trial investigation into human trafficking, exploiting them for prostitution, on October 25, 2023, was detained, as stated, a 39-year-old Colombian citizen and a 37-year-old Venezuelan citizen. However, they were reluctant to admit to organizing a prostitution business in Lithuania. The man said he had come to Lithuania from Venezuela to Lithuania as a tourist. And the latter was more likely to admit that he himself provides prostitution services rather than organizing them.
Officials of the Organized Crime Investigation Board of the Kaunas County Police Headquarters, led by the prosecutor of the Kaunas Regional Prosecutor’s Office, have found that this suspect was able to serve his clients and sell his compatriots with the aforementioned man.
And the aforementioned man is an Ecuadorian citizen who came to Lithuania with a fake Colombian citizen document.
Despite the fact that both denied allegations of organizing prostitution, they have been arrested for quite some time. The Ecuadorian citizen is still behind bars. However, like him, who earned from another person’s prostitution, the Venezuelan citizen, accused of organizing and led by him, was waiting for the court to be released with the citizen.
The accomplices do not identify Lithuanians
Along with the aforementioned couple, who was threatened with imprisonment for up to six years in prison, the younger sister of Venezuelan citizen was in court. However, she has already been accused of having income from another person’s prostitution or composition for what the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania provides for imprisonment of up to four years.
Law enforcers admitted that all those who sold South American women in Kaunas could not be identified, as the trio probably had accomplices Lithuanians. Advertisements on these prostitution services with their exotic women’s photos were placed on the Internet in Lithuanian. And the aforementioned privatized apartment in a dormitory -type apartment building on Savanorių Avenue, where Venezuelan citizens said they were considered forced. Like apartments in Klaipėda and Panevezys, where these women from South America were also provided.
It was established in Kaunas to be provided in two dormitory -type Savanorių Avenue apartment buildings in just a few houses. It is believed that it lasted about seven months.

Arrived legally, stayed illegally
In addition to Venezuela, the citizens of Columbia, who had the status of witnesses in the present case, were also identified. Most of them said they thought that prostitution was not prohibited in Lithuania.
However, the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Lithuania provides for a fine of between 90 and 140 euros. And after recurring, the fine is already threatened with a fine of between € 140 and € 300.
It is claimed that some of the citizens of South America who have provided prostitution services in Kaunas are punished by administrative procedure for it.
The pre -trial investigation took time to explain how their compatriots who served their customers and their customers came to Lithuania. And, do they not have criminal tails in their homeland and on the way to Lithuania.
It was found that the biography of the aforementioned Ecuador citizen is not completely clean. However, in the context that had led to the court in Lithuania, it has not been recorded anywhere.
It also turned out that the defendants had arrived in Lithuania with permits, which after the expiration period had already lived illegally.
Acted differently than Lithuanians
The court, as well as the victims, said to the court that Venezuelan citizens who were waiting for his freedom in Kaunas, as well as the victims. The younger one was not even detained. Only documents were taken from it.
However, after sending Venezuelan citizens by e -mail to the first hearing of this case, it was unclear until the commencement of it whether the accused appeared in it.
Until the start of the meeting, only one of the sisters appeared. And began to believe in the English language of the trial that her sister would be delayed for some reason.
A handcuffed Ecuadorian citizen, who, in addition to profiting from another person’s prostitution, was also accused of organizing and possessing a forged document, two convoy officers were delivered to the hearing. In contrast to Lithuanians accused of such crimes, he did not hide his face from media lenses. Like the younger sisters of Venezuelan citizenship.
It seemed that the defendants not only did not understand where they are, but also that they found themselves in media lenses.
They began to cover, only the lawyer of Ecuador citizen, appointed to him by the Lithuanian state, as well as Venezuelan citizens, when asked by the photographer of Kauno.dien.lt, whether he received a permit for his defendant to take pictures.

He admitted guilt in court
It seems that after learning from the lawyers of the Lithuanian state, that when confessed, both the trial will be shorter and the sentence imposed will be reduced by a third, the accused who have entered the trial did so.
Their testimony behind a closed courtroom door, as prostitution proceedings are pending non -public, although there were no victims in this case, the elder from Venezuelan citizens, as well as prostitution services in this case, their compatriots and Colombian citizens South American women.
However, the elder sisters of the judgments offered to go to Lithuania and « to let the roots » to « let the roots » there, along with her, the Ecuadorian citizen with whom they were a couple. He came to Lithuania a few months later for his partner. And with a fake Colombian citizen’s passport, because it is easier for citizens of this country to enter Europe – it is easier than Ecuadorians.
By the way, his document, a fake, law enforcement who conducted the pre -trial investigation, learned from the sisters. Then, for help, both Colombia and Ecuador were sought, which also took time to the pre -trial investigation. And only after receiving a fake confirmation from there, did the Ecuador citizen admitted that the document he had submitted was forged.
When given testimony in court, the accused did not tell the prostitution of another person about potential accomplices in Lithuania. For example, the junior of the sisters who worked only the order of the orders, claiming that he received one dollar for one « contract », speaking only Spanish, said he interacted with future customers – SMS blanks with a stair door code, photographed by the apartment, and so on.
All three defendants said they did not know that prostitution was prohibited in Lithuania.
Have already served punishments?
Having found that the defendants admit their guilt, the case has been adapted to an abbreviated examination of evidence, which led to without witnesses.
Today, Thursday, the prosecutor offered the final speeches of this case to the Ecuador citizen a year and a half. And his cohabitant, a citizen of Venezuela, is one year imprisonment.
However, since this Venezuelan citizen has been arrested for one year, she has already served her sentence. Unless the judge hearing the case would be stricter than the prosecutor.
The arrest of Ecuador citizen is also almost a year and a half. Before leaving the verdict, to extend the arrest of his arrest was not asked. And the detention period for him ends just before the sentence is proclaimed. It can already be released to this proclamation.
The junior was offered a fine of € 1,700 for the junior sisters who were not arrested a day.
The lawyers, who defended the defendants, asked the court to make even more lenient penalties. The defendants themselves also seconded them.
The court will announce its decision this month.
