Economic assassins among us
Ten years have passed since the attack on the White River on May 24, 2015 and Mihai Bocea continues the fight in his wheelchair in a war of economic lynching. The case of the attack from the White River, published in the series by the daily life, is an earthquake (and current) testimony of the way the oppressive system that confiscated Romania operates.
It is the story of a man who paid expensive for the courage to defend his rights and property against some people who have chosen to respond to the system commands, out of interest, from obedience or cowardice.
The ten -year -old attack was committed by a few alleged environmental activists, and the economic lynching continues today through the Romanian states – politicians, officials, police, prosecutors and ropric judges.
The day the Romanian state closed the eyes
On May 24, 2015, a group of activists descended with cars on a private property of Mihai Bocea on the White River, Hunedoara county, where the man obtained all the opinions required by law to build two micro -hydroelectric plants, a trout and a service housing. In the cross of Sunday 24, the « activist » Andrioni Alin Constantin intentionally passed with the jeep over the owner, crushing him under the wheels of his bol. Since then Mihai Bocea has remained immobilized for the rest of his life in a wheelchair, as a result of a cervical column fracture at C6 and C7.
Immediately after the attempt to kill, the activists fled from the scene, without helping the victim, and started an aggressive misinformation campaign, publicly posing as victims. The case quickly arrived on all the news TVs, and the prime minister at that time-Victor Viorel Ponta, a prosecutor, went to the ramp with a false statement, transmitted from the Government of Romania, through which the forerunner in favor of the « Eco » agents. The message of the prime minister instantly changed the investigation course, the victim became « target » and the horsemen came under the protection of the « system ».
In the following hours, the activists-especially Gabriel Păun, said « Agent Green »-contacted several journalists, launching the false version that a colleague of theirs was « killed » and that he, Păun, suffered multiple fractures, including in the ribs. These statements were quickly taken over by the press, but in the following days it was proved with medical documents that there are lies.
Desques with masks and media lynching
One day after the message (« order ») of the prime minister, the DNA prosecutors organized descendants regarding the properties of the Bocea family and some institutions, with intensely publicized searches and live broadcasts. The press presented, based on « sources close to the investigation », that Bocea Mihai would be involved in corruption, resuming the accusation that he was guilty of the violence that had taken place on the White River. From the classic recipe for « elimination of the target », the handcuffs were missing just because the cow with the intensive care with paralysis from the neck down.
The Tele-Levators of DNA prosecutors appeared in the main news flows, and the victim of the murder attempt became « aggressor » and « interlop » in the public presentations. Six years later, in 2021, DNA prosecutors announced Mihai Bocea that they spied on the « ambient » family with special technique and by intercepting the telephone calls, but it was refused access to the file. The so-called corruption case has never reached the table of a judge. The state has spent considerable resources to intercept hundreds of hours of private discussions, transcribed in 12,000 stenograms tabs, but no one gives account for the completion of the work. The prosecutor « Michiduță », put on the advance and on the White River
The file of the murder attempt was held for seven years in research at the Prosecutor’s Office and passed through four case prosecutors, each with a controversial professional history. Immediately after the prime minister, the prosecutors involved give the impression that they are in a competition of servility from which Augustin (« Taica ») Lazăr is highlighted, then only the head of the court prosecutors in Alba. The obviously biased reaction of the « officials » encouraged the aggressors to lie that the victim would have been thrown in front of the car « to end it. »
The first two prosecutors (Dorel Herban and Gavadia Emiliea Elena) worked hard on ranking the case, but failed due to a judge of rights and freedoms that obliged to restore the investigation. The file was passed to the prosecutor Mihai Eduard Ilie, and in the end he reached the hands of Marius Iacob, the prosecutor who acted in order and against Călin Georgescu.

Seven years after committing the deed, prosecutor Marius Iacob sent the indictment to court, diminishing as much as possible the offender to « offense to attempted murder with mitigating circumstances regarding the limits to legitimate defense ».
The essay composed by Marius Iacob would hang hard on the substantive court, where the file fell on a system controlled by the system and the environmental agent escaped with 60 days of work for the community at the library. Only ultimately, eight years after committing the deed and two months before the prescription, the protection of the system reached prison, where a six -year sentence with incarceration.
His end ended but the war continues
On May 24, 2015, Mihai Bocea remained infirm for the rest of his life. He was 48, he was a man fulfilled with a successful family, living a quiet life. After that Sunday, nothing was the same.
For ten years, Mihai Bocea continues to be the target of an economic assassination. His projects – two micro -hydroelectric plants, a trout and a service housing – are artificially blocked under the pretext that the Ministry of the Environment has not approved a management plan for the Natural Park Geopark Dinosaurs Country Hațegului. Well, the absence of the plan applies only to the Bocea family because in the same protected area and during the same period of time, a micro-hydroelectric power station and more storage have been built. It is notorious that the micro-hydroelectric plant of an Italian produces well-mercile current, without being challenged by activists, state institutions or courts. Moreover, Bocea’s projects on the White River were taken over in all the official plans for the development of the area. So, investments can continue, but without it …
« Everything that happens to me has to do with these projects. When I started the works I was very happy because I had laid the foundations of the most important investments in my life. I kept away from politics because I did not like the entourage. I knew that the political gangs work in paramilitary style, but I did not imagine that they want to control everything that moves in the deprived of the system. Currently the investments seems that our projects on the White River have warmed up the minds of some permanent politicians, ”says Mihai Boa after ten fighting in an unequal, dirty and unfair war.
Mihai Bocea is the living proof that the system works, but it is not intangible. His story shows that in a country where justice is optional, every honest man can become « target » overnight. And if you do not react, if you shut up, if you do not see, just postpone the moment when your turn will come …
