Echoes of the Dakar race – the tractor Dakar is being prepared

For the first time in Lithuania, the tractor of the « Dakar » race will be crowned not only by a spectacular celebration for society, but also before midnight, the Midsummer Scrap.

It is planned that in the first stage of the « tractor Dakar » on June 21. Up to 30 crews in Žasliai (Kaišiadorys district) will compete (the tractor must be two – operator and helmsman). They will compete in three categories: T1 Factory Class (participated in new factory tractors); T2 Turbo Class (participated in tractors with a maximum speed of up to 30 km/h) and T3 Speed ​​Class (participated in tractors with maximum speeds of up to 40 km/h), the tractor dimensions may not exceed the dimensions set in the Road Traffic Rules of the Republic of Lithuania, total height to 4 meters.

The highlights of the race, like the repeated phrase of farmers « will not be farmers, will not be food », will combine the Lithuanian farmers’ initiative to attract as much attention to the village and regions as possible, and to reduce the understanding of the country and rural people.

« In the past, the farmer was viewed quite stereotypically that he is not active, walking in manure shoes, and the tractor is often drunk. We slowly but confidently change this attitude towards the farmer and regions in general, so this event will be one of those who, Gray (Greinienė), who, together with her husband Martyn Green, has a farm in Kruonis.

It is in the fields of these farmers that the « Dakar » tractor will be launched. The track will connect the farm of another organizer of the « Dakar » tractor Dakar, Dalius Matkevičius, about 48 km.

« Day by day, the farmer is involved in his personal Dakar – whether to take care of wheat crop in nature or to balance finances when milk prices fall below production cost. All his daily routine is like racing with time and markets. We want to show people how that bread appears on Gray.

The first « tractor Dakar » patronage is the MB « Practical Surgery » of the mouth, face and jaw surgery.

Dotnuva Baltic, a spokeswoman for UAB Dotnuva Baltic, Massey Ferguson Tractor AB East West Agro (EWA) and John Deere, a spokeswoman for the leading agricultural company Case IH, is a spokeswoman for the leading event. The tractors of these supporters will compete in the factory tractor class.

Participants will not be able to start with EU support tractors, nor will they be able to use the so -called « green » diesel. This race is not allowed to compete with Russian and Belarusian production tractors.

The tractors will be released every 5 minutes. You will need to find « chekpoint » on the track and mark them. The track is selected safe, « without breaking » the technique but interesting. Tomas Ramašauskas, along with MB Mob Medija, will take care of the direct video from the track and provide material to the finish screen.

BTA insurance will be insured by the health of all participants and will be free of charge by AB Vilniaus Bulkūnas. UAB Sabelijos Prekyba week before and week after the event (June 16 to June 27) will apply special discounts to 30% of their range.
