The European Commission said it had approved new 135 projects today within the Technical Support Instrument (TSSI), to help EU member states prepare, design and implement a total of 390 reforms in 2025.

According to the EC, according to MIA correspondent from Brussels, approved projects will help member states to implement reforms in key priority areas to strengthen the resistance and competitiveness of the Union and to improve the lives of EU citizens.

Of the total number of reforms, 109 are aimed at improving the business environment, encouraging innovation, building an economy with net zero emissions of harmful gases and promoting Union economic security.

Over 130 reforms are aimed at supporting the digital transition, with a particular focus on the application of artificial intelligence and innovative technologies, 40 to tackle the common challenges of member states, and 119 to strengthen public administrations.

The Technical Support Instrument (TSI) aims to help EU member states realize their reform agenda in a wide range of political areas. TSI does not provide direct financial support, but high quality and adjusted expertise and knowledge in the form of strategic or technical advice, studies in assessment of reform needs, training or expert missions.

TSSI provides technical support for all 27 member states to implement more than 2000 reforms in many areas, including administration, public finance and services management, business environment, labor market, education, social services, migration, financial market and access to finance. Since TSSI’s supported reforms so far, nearly 500 are linked to EU plans for recovery and resistance.
