Eat 7 laboratories for food quality guarantee
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, says the way farmers are applied to the subsidy scheme in agriculture, removing some bureaucracy related to the farm location documents. Denaj says that for 2025 the fund of the agricultural support scheme has increased, going around 4.4 billion ALL. The scheme aims to reduce production costs and improve the quality of agricultural and livestock products.
« The subsidy scheme is an annual scheme and comes to farmers to reduce production costs. This year we have a higher fund than last year with a fund of nearly ALL 4.4 billion is made available to farmers to apply from April 14 to May 30. Regarding food safety, Denaj said that in cooperation with the World Bank, the government is investing a 20m -euro fund for the establishment of seven regional laboratories by helping farmers maintain quality and adhere to food safety protocols.

Another point is the need for cooperation between farmers who have small parcels, creating groups of operators to benefit more from subsidies and increase the value of the product in the market. These groups will not require union property or flocks, but coordination of work and purpose.
