Earthquakes in Turkey shook southern and eastern Bulgaria
There is no evidence of casualties and destruction, but the earthquake has caused panic among people in Istanbul. Many have left their homes and workplaces, the Anatolian agency said, quoted by BTA.
The Magnidut 6.2 earthquake was registered at 12.49 am Bulgarian time, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center. Its epicenter is 23 km from Silivri, a city with 53,000 people. According to data from the German Geonauki Research Center, the earthquake was 10 km deep.
