Eagle over Geldinganesi
« Skyrinort is so that this is not something that is rapid, to see Erni over Reykjavik, » says Gunnar Hallgrímsson, professor of zoology at the University of Iceland, in a conversation with mbl.is about Örn who was seen soaring wings across the capital, more specifically Geldinganes, Birds in Iceland on Facebook.
« I was feeding the dog and decided to take the camera with if I saw something interesting, » says Skarphedinn to mbl.is on the eve of the shooting.
The professor continues:
« This is not daily sight, but the fireplace stock has been in slow but safe growth and over time it has happened that they have begun to be seen more often in town – and perhaps across the country, » says Gunnar, in Sandgerði to mark Máva.
The zoological professor Gunnar Hallgrímsson should not be debated from commenting on Arna's ways of life at mbl.is where he regularly practices conversations with them, as can be seen in this amazing picture of his Facebook page.

He says it is interesting when the eagles are seen in the area, « they are inherently shy so that those who get in good way with Örn are lucky, » he says, answering the question yes that scientists have a clear eye on the fireplace stock in Iceland, which now counts 90.
« The Icelandic Institute of Natural History is alerted to the fireplace in collaboration with other parties. There are a number of caste and breeding success, and so are the young birds' trips by putting on those shipments and that is, among other things, the equipment we have seen that they enter here regularly into the capital area, ”says Gunnar.
He says the breeding stock has been tied to the west of the country and is the Breiðarfjörður heart of the nesting. « Ernir is most commonly laid in the islands and islands, other than falcons who often choose a high cliff. »
The graceful animal hovers around the vegetable wind and it is completely concealed that Skarphedinn will be able to remember his lens on the ground.

The eagles are homely, according to Gunnar. « He is a real bird, but what happens is that the adult birds stick to their riots all year round. The young birds, however, travel around the country and go a long way between parts of the country, they are seen throughout the country. But the eagles do not leave the country, ”he explains, and is asked further into the stock. What causes him to grow?
Skarphedinn's photography knows the borders and here he himself floats around on a glider over a magnificent terrain.

« The strain is straightening the cut after a lot of persecution in its time, so the eagle was protected here and then the population's expansion has been stable and hopefully it just continues. The stock size went down below 20 pairs in the country when it was mentioned, the eagle was at a very high risk of extinction. But he is still a rare breeding bird in Iceland, ”says Gunnar Hallgrímsson, professor of zoology at the University of Iceland and a bird scientist for subtitle.
Towards the end, Skarphedinn took a picture of a raven that came in the wake of the eagle and it was uncertain what the scent of that hollow game was.
