– Today we are here to pay tribute to one of us. Nicholas was part of a special generation of Dinamo, recognizable with his pride, smile and goodness. He brought peace, joke and words of support to each locker room. Nicholas was recognizable for his struggle outside the field by defeating all the diseases that stood on his journey. I had the honor of sharing the terrain and the locker room with him, he was a real teammate and a friend. Nicholas was a support when it was difficult for us all. He loved Dinamo, left a mark on the hearts of all the people who met him.

Zorislav Srebric He gave a long speech at the funeral of the blanket on Wednesday, this time on behalf of the HNS, he addressed the gathered in Maksimir with a ten-minute speech.
– We say goodbye to one member of our great family and in the name of the Croatian Football Federation I express my deepest condolences to family and everyone else, who had pleasure in their ranks to have a person like our dear Nikola. We will never forget the time spent with him. He played in big clubs, and at the end of his career he played amateur football and thus showed how much he was affected by football. We will not forget the time that Nicholas spent with us. He was one of the most accepted players for coaches and menus, we remember him like that. May he rest in peace.
Srećko Juričić He addressed NK Rijeka, another club where Nikola played.
– I would like to remind you why Nicholas remained in the memory of everyone in NK Rijeka, although he spent a fewer period with us than in some other clubs. With his playing Renome, he gave an initial power to the Great Club project. He made a significant contribution to our historic passage in the European League group stage. He participated in the first win of the Damir Miskovic Football Cup.

– Nicholas spent a year with us, left an indelible mark on the club. He wasn’t just a coach, he was a friend. We will never forget his smile. We thank him for everything, dear Nicholas, rest in peace.

We were together at the club for a year and a half, I tried to support him and the support, we created a connection that was interrupted by this tragic event. At least this physically, but I believe she will continue to the end of my life – said Leko, and continued:
– He comforts me that in seven days 12 years since Ivan Turina, of another great friend of mine, is not even, but we still feel like he is there every day. I will feel the same thing in Nikola’s relationship, so these moments are a little easier for me. Our football trip was separated after Monaco, but we remained connected because we lived together through our holidays, conversations on Murter and in Zagreb, we had a lot of common topics, which was why he was a godfather to my child. And that godfather can never be broken.
Leko was emotional.
– It was our desire to play together one day in Dinamo, it happened in 2011, I am very proud of that. We were part of the generation that won the trophies, played the Champions League. We went through a lot together. When I look at our pictures that I often spin these days, there is a similar, distinctive smile on each, that cheerfulness by which we remember it.
And finally.
– I told him many times: Well, you don’t have to play that amateur football, but he had a desire, he met valuable people there, so I’m glad that people from us are from Vojnic, Tiger from St. Sundays, and Pusce. He showed what size doing with the children, transmitted what he loved.
