During these periods of time there will be traffic crowds during the Easter holidays

The Easter holidays are one of the most busy holiday periods of the year. On the roads it will be felt when the Danes go to cottages, family and Easter lunches.

It writes the Road Directorate in one press release.

On Friday, this year’s Easter holiday begins, and again it is time for mad letters, chocolate eggs and cozy family gatherings. But the good times do not come without a traffic side, because on the roads there can be queues when many people go to celebrate the holiday season at the same time. In particular, there is a risk of queue and extended travel time in the beginning and middle of the Easter holidays.

The first holiday traffic will announce its arrival in the afternoon on Friday 11 April, when people get rid of work and holiday traffic mixes with rush hour traffic. The hustle and bustle will also make its mark on the roads on Saturday, April 12, after which a few days await a few days of not so much pressure on the patience of the road users.

The holiday traffic takes a new round on Wednesday 16 April and Cutting Thursday 17 April, where there will also be many cars at the popular cottage areas and on the major roads across the country from the metropolitan area towards Funen and Jutland. There is especially a high risk of close traffic on Route 16 Hillerød motorway extension, Route 21 to and from Sj. Odde and Route 11 along the west coast of Jutland.

The Road Directorate recommends that, as far as possible, you run outside the most busy periods on the big travel days.
