Due to a fire in Vardarishte without electricity there were 47,000 users in Skopje, the fire was under control

Without electricity supply, 47,000 users were left in Skopje, after a fire after a fire today at noon at the Vardarishte landfill was preventively excluded from the Skopje 4 – Aerodrom and Skopje 4 – East voltage.

– Due to a large fire at the Vardarishte landfill, and at the request of the Fire Brigade, the electrical engineering teams immediately intervened on the ground and excluded from the Substations « Skopje 4 – Aerodrom » and « Skopje 4 – East ». Currently 47,000 users are without electricity. The voltage will be re -established after reporting by the Fire Brigade that the terrain is safe and the fire is extinguished – MIA told Electrical Engineering.

The fire at Vardarishte is under control and is currently being brought. There are 25 firefighters with eight fire trucks on the ground, the Commander of the Territorial Fire Brigade of the City of Skopje (BPPR) Zvonko Tomevski told MIA.

« There are no injuries and no material damage, » Tomevski said.

Skopje firefighters today at around 12 o’clock in the circle of the former Vardarishte landfill on a larger unknown surface gas burned dry grass and waste material.
