Dubrovnik will be marked by great cultural anniversaries this year
Dubrovnik, which is never lacking on the world's most desirable destinations, is now also listed on the prestigious Good to Go list for 2025, published by a renowned Wandderlust magazine. Their annual list contains a selection of 25 world destinations that connect culture, innovation and community, and emphasize travel as a positive driver of change. Dubrovnik has already extended the season with a successful tourist strategy, and long -term sustainability ensures the quality of a variety of offer, which is available to guests throughout the year. The next weeks of sunny presents are therefore the perfect time when guests can explore Stradun, walls and other beauty of the city and the surrounding area in a slightly quieter environment. During these months outside the main season, they will meet the residents of the city on the streets and experience a genuine pulse of life in it.

Lovers of culture in Dubrovnik can look forward to celebrating three great anniversaries – 100 years of operation will celebrate the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, 80 years Art Gallery Dubrovnik and 60 years Folklore ensemble Lindjo. The ensemble, which is a symbol of the Croatian cultural tradition, will mark the anniversary throughout the year with activities and concerts. The festive concert at the end of the year, at which all generations of the Lindjo ensemble will gather, is especially difficult to gather, and at the time they will present the ensemble dedicated to the monograph.
With a series of concerts, the 100th anniversary will also celebrate the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra. The month of March will be dedicated to young and young musicians, which is one of the most important activities of this centuries -old orchestra. April will begin with the performance of Rossini's work of Stabat Mater, April 13, on the day of the first concert of the Dubrovnik Philharmonic Orchestra in 1925, will also be held at the City Theater with Maestro Dawid Runtz and renowned Czech violinist Jiři Vodičko. The star cycle will bring DSO concerts to the audience with top musicians, such as legendary pianist Ivo Pogorelic, Hornist Radovan Vlatković and conductor Uroš Lajovic and Valentin Egel. Many music events will also be enriched by flowers 21 and 22. April. This is why it will be worth visiting the city at the time. Concerts combine spring nature and art and are ideal for culture and relaxation lovers in the beautiful atmosphere.

Of course, a good reason to visit Dubrovnik in late February and early March will be the traditional Dubrovnik carnival with a rich program for all ages. That's when they revive the city and local customs. Dubrovnik has a long tradition of masquerade, so these days there is a special atmosphere in the city, and guests, along with the masquerals, go for an unforgettable tour of the city.
In winter, until the end of March, the tourist community of the city of Dubrovnik also traditionally organizes Saturday's winter morning in the city. They include a folklore performance in front of the church of St. Vlaha and thematic sightseeing of the city where guests can get to know the cosmopolitan Dubrovnik and listen to the stories of traces of ancient love or the history of St. Vlaha.
Although Dubrovnik has always been known as a unique destination for history and culture, we must not forget the gastronomic flavors of the Mediterranean, which are each offered by many restaurants. Also, this is a good reason to visit. Throughout the city, guests in attractive restaurants can enjoy great traditional dishes, as well as in their fantastic contemporary interpretations. This year, the city with special gourmet days from 6 to 9 March will be marked by International Women's Day. In addition to specially designed gourmet menus in Dubrovnik restaurants, there will be part of the program to honor women, including a concert by Harij Rončević.
From 19 to 27. April, guests will be able to enjoy gourmet spring days dedicated to home cuisine. At that time, Dubrovnik restaurants offer imaginative and delicious specialties inspired by spring delicacies.
An additional impetus to visit outside the main season, in addition to a number of events in a pleasant environment, are also more affordable accommodation prices, both in luxury hotels and in private accommodation.
