Drunk with a hook hit a car in Zagreb. Had 1.84 ppm. Goes to treatment, received a high penalty

Zagreb police have announced that a man (57) under the influence of alcohol of 1.84 g/kg in the body without passing the driving test of any category was operated by a passenger car of Zagreb’s license plates by the south roads of Lastovska Street, the left lane intended for the vehicle to turn.

– Arriving at the intersection with the roadway of Misevečka Street and the Western roadway of Marin Držić Avenue, he stopped because of the vehicle in front of him stopped because of the inflamed red light at the traffic light.

– The driver was arrested and placed in special police premises until the termination of the intoxicating agent. After sobriety, he was brought to the competent misdemeanor court where he was found guilty and was sentenced to 4,520 euros with a final judgment. At the same time, he was pronounced a protective measure of mandatory treatment from addiction – alcoholism for up to one year – police concluded.
