Drug criminals who commissioned to introduce cocaine via Antwerp harbor again risk severe imprisonment (Antwerp)
On Friday, the Public Prosecution Service demanded twelve years in prison against Omar G. and Mounir Eb, who commissioned Dubai to introduce three parties cocaine via the port of Antwerp. The drug criminals have already collected a lot of outstanding prison sentences: for Omar ‘Patje Haemers’ G. the counter stands at 43 years, for Mounir ‘Gino’ EB in 37 years. Both of the process, where a total of twelve defendants are on trial.
The facts had come to light through intercepted communication of the cracked encrypted messaging service Sky ECC. This showed that Omar G. commissioned Dubai and that Mounir Eb was responsible for the planning. They appealed to Naoufel A., a refrigeration technician at Port Authority Medrepair.
A first successful import of a party of 850 kilos of cocaine was done on 8 August 2020 by means of the ‘switch method’. In addition, the drugs from a South American container are transferred to a European to reduce the chance of control.
The next game, the next game was already introduced, but the Switch went partly wrong there. « 191 kilos of the total of 766 kilos of cocaine remained in the South American container and was confiscated by Customs. The majority was successfully done, » said the attorney. On November 18, 2020, a third successful import of at least 330 kilos of cocaine followed.
Naoufel A. was also involved in a fourth input, but it cannot be linked to Omar G. and Mounir Eb with certainty. Naoufel A. was richly reimbursed by his clients, who had him delivered hundreds of thousands of euros in cash. On August 11, 2020, he received 540,000 euros in one go.
The Public Prosecution Service progressed for Naoufel A. nine years in prison and 80,000 euros. His lawyer did not dispute the facts.
