The commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mikhail Drapatyi submitted a resignation report.

« Did not squeeze, did not convince, did not change the attitude towards the person in order. It is my responsibility.

The behavior of fighters matters, but the main responsibility is always on command. It is the commanders who define the rules, make decisions and are responsible for the consequences, « he wrote.

Dropaty noted that circular bail and impunity – poison for the army.

« I tried to eradicate it from the Land Forces. But if the tragedies were repeated, then my efforts were not enough, » he added.

12 dead. There are wounded. These are young guys from the training battalion. Most of them were in shelters. They had to learn, to live, to fight – not to die. My deep condolences to the families of the dead and all those who were injured. « 

Details: Dropaty reported that he initiated the check of all the circumstances of the tragedy: the actions of commanders, the state of shelter, the effectiveness of the alert systems. All victims are assisted.

« We do not win this war, if we do not build an army, where honor is not a word, but an action. Where responsibility is not punishment, but the basis of trust. Where each commander is responsible every day – for order, for a decision, for a person, » he said.

That preceded: Russian troops struck a missile strike on the educational unit of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces – it is known about at least 12 dead and over 60 wounded.
