According to the ministry, these unmanned aircraft will be delivered within the next three months.

« The practical support of drone coalitions for Ukraine has been an essential element in its protection against the occupying army, » says Defense Minister Andris Spruds (P), expressing confidence that the intelligence drone from the Drona coalition will help the Ukrainian armed forces get important information about the opponent’s movements and positions on the front.

Catherine Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, says Ukraine is grateful to its allies for their response and to provide this critical ability. « The rapid reaction and flexibility of this decision has been very important, especially now that the Ukrainian armed forces are very necessary. Thanks to them, our soldiers will be able to look at the terrain and raise the units of understanding the situation that is essential for successful combat operations, » emphasizes Chernhorenko.

The MoD notes that the international drone coalition continues to work on support for Ukraine. In February this year, the third international procurement tender for tactical intelligence drones was announced in the coalition. Application submission ended on March 17 and is currently the first selection phase, informs the ministry.

The MoD points out that since the establishment of a drone coalition on February 14, 2024, its Member States have already provided significant support for Ukraine in implementing drone supplies. The overall support of all drone coalition Member States in Ukrainian drones reached EUR 1.8 billion in 2024. Similarly, in 2024, the Drona Coalition Member States invested more than EUR 80 million in the Common Procurement Fund led by the United Kingdom.

The coalition includes 18 Member States – Latvia, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, as well as Australia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Estonia, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Germany and Sweden.
