Drawing horse damages cars: « When I didn’t see a rider, I immediately understood that there was a problem »
Motorists looked up this morning when they suddenly saw a horse without a rider in Lijsem, just over the language border.
« I approached the intersection with the Route de Huy in Lijsem (Hannuit), in the province of Liège, when suddenly a horse appeared on the road, » eyewitness Benoît tells the commercial channel RTL. « I didn’t see a rider and immediately understood that there was a problem. » The horse, visibly in panic, moved on at high speed on the wrong side of the road. « It was impressive, I immediately left, » says Benoît.
According to eyewitnesses, the animal was not caught far from there. The horse remained unharmed. Mayor Manu Douette confirms to RTL that the animal was brought back to the owner. However, the incident did not remain without consequences. « Apparently the horse caused damage to a few cars, » says Benoît.
