Drama during BMW races. The 18-year-old is fighting for her life
At the airport in Krosno, on May 25, a serious accident occurred during races at a distance of one four mile. According to the prosecutor’s office, 17 people suffered, and the co -organizer of the event, Michał R., was detained. Michał R. (39 years old) heard allegations related to the risk of participants’ health and life.
Investigators indicated that the man did not guarantee the right protective procedures at the event. According to the prosecutor’s office, the relevant security zones were not marked out. Despite the serious accusations, during the interrogation he pleaded not guilty.

The dangerous situation occurred during the competition on the section of a quarter mile. Two BMW vehicles, M2 and M4 models, started from the line, and their father and son sat behind their managers. Just before the M4 finish, driven by 500 horsepower, it got out of control, headed to the right and fell into a group of supporters.
The driver of the second vehicle was 27-year-old Patryk Z. He was detained on the same day and heard libertarian preventive measures. They include police supervision, a financial guarantee of 100,000 PLN and a ban on leaving the country.

Unfortunately, the 18-year-old is in the worst condition. As « Fakt » found out, although a week has passed since the tragedy, a teenager is still fighting for her life. – Her condition is very difficult – says « Fakt » prosecutor Dr. Monika Kaszubowicz, deputy prosecutor of the District Prosecutor in Krosno. And he adds that the allegations against men are unchanged for now.

The controversy arouses that the company that organized the event did not declare it as a mass event, although formally such a congregation covered at least a thousand participants. A spokesman for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Krosno explained that the officers did not receive a report of the event in the mode provided for mass events. The command was received only by a letter asking for possible support when directing traffic, in the event of congestion on the roads leading to the racing place.
If the organizers considered them as a mass event, they would have to apply for an appropriate permit and take care of a number of security, including order services and medical support.
