Don’t allies with the US against our interests
Shortly after The Wall Street Journal wrote that the US trade strategy is to force dozens of states to sign bilateral exchange agreements with Washington and thus align against China, Beijing warned that it will respond against countries that will negotiate the USA to the detriment of Chinese interests. « China opposes the conclusion of agreements against Chinese interests, » the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced. « If this happens, China will not accept and adopt mutual countermeasures. »
« China respects the right of all parties to resolve its commercial disputes with the United States through consultations on a drawing foot, » the Ministry of Trade said, adding that if the countries are attacking Chinese interests, Beijing is « determined and capable of defending their rights. » « All states must be on the side of correctness and justice and must defend the international and commercial rules, as well as the multilateral commercial system. » « Once the international trade will return to the law of the jungle, in which the strongest swallows the weakest, all countries will become victims. »
The China Ministry of Commerce calls on states planning negotiations with the Trump administration to join Beijing and « resist in the face of unilateral intimidation », not to give in to Donald Trump’s strategy to use commercial negotiations with over 70 states to isolate China.
This escalation of statements comes after President Trump asked Beijing to start negotiations to avoid a commercial war, after China said it was ready for negotiations, but no bilateral contact was held.
At the end of last week, The Wall Street Journal claimed that the US strategy is to put pressure on China to open commercial negotiations. The Beijing regime did not show signs that it would give up American pressures, and President XI Jinping last week has made visits to Vietnam, Malaysia and Cambodia, to strengthen commercial relations with these states and to keep them away from the American commercial orbit. East Asia countries were subjected to huge rates by the Trump administration, then the application of tariffs was postponed in exchange for negotiating bilateral agreements to the detriment of China, as long as these countries were accused by the US to export to America goods largely in China.
