The Slovak Republic made donations to the Lost Persons Committee in Cyprus for a 10 thousand euros.

According to the statement made by the Committee of Lost Persons, the donation made on May 30, Slovakia’s total contribution to KŞK since 2012 has reached 30 thousand euros. In a statement, the donations in question to find the remains of the missing individuals and returned to their families contributed to their efforts. With these studies, the Committee aims to end many years of uncertainties.

The CC was founded in April 1981 under the auspices of the United Nations General Assembly as a result of an agreement between the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot societies. The committee, which has been financed by the European Union since 2006, assumes the task of removing, identification and delivery of missing individuals from the grave places.

To date, the committee has delivered to their families by identifying a thousand 54 missing persons. It was stated that donor support was needed in order to continue these studies as a two societies.
