Domestic tourism was more interested in last year than before

Approximately 24 million domestic leisure trips last year were made more than one tenth than the other year. The peak year of domestic tourism was at the time of the Koronavirus pandemia in 2021, when 27.7 million domestic leisure trips were made.
According to Statistics Finland, the number of domestic leisure trips with free accommodation increased by almost a fifth from the other year. Last year, 17.5 million were made. 6.6 million domestic leisure trips with paid accommodation were made, which is the same amount as the last year.
