Do you like coffee? Put the coffee corner!
Interior designer Marta Bučinskienė says that a cafe at home becomes a corner of personal pleasure, whose thoughtful design can further strengthen your favorite ritual, and offers some ideas on how to install this corner.
The right place. When searching for a place that best suited for a coffee corner, M. Bučinskienė suggests taking into account her daily habits – for example, it is convenient to install it near the work area. It can be a coffee ritual area on the kitchen countertop or a mobile kitchen stroller that you can easily move to any place in the home. The key is to think carefully and not overload everything.
As much as needed. According to M. Bučinskienė, the coffee corner should only have the most essential coffee preparation supplies: in this case, four cups with four teaspoons will be enough for the whole day. Along with them, a home cafe or beans, a French café and a jar of sugar or other sweetener may appear in a home cafe.
Smart and look. Since the coffee corner is not only for the preparation of the drink but also to enjoy it, M. Bučinskienė suggests expanding the space by exploiting the vertical wall area. The wall -mounted perforated boards help to place the items neatly and visually attractive: the cups can be hung on the hooks, place the teaspoons in a smaller box, and keep the coffee and sugar in a larger container. Keeping all the accessories on the wall makes it easier to keep clean and order, which, according to the interior designer, contributes to an even calmer and cozy home atmosphere.
Give a peculiarity. M. Bučinskienė recommends that her coffee corner also give personal accents: a favorite cup (50 % of people in Lithuania), a small plant or linen tablecloth. Small details will give you identity and make your daily ritual even more special. To make it more comfortable, the interior designer offers to choose a place next to natural light sources or install a separate luminaire (desk or built -in shelves) in the corner of the coffee – to dispel early morning or evening dusk.
