Mirna Berend (58) was born in Petrinja, under the shadow of chestnuts, and her family lost her home during the Homeland War. But the difficult moments did not destroy her dreams. At the age of 20, she stepped into the world of television, and her voice and appearance soon became synonymous with glamor and professionalism on HRT.
She led cult shows such as « Good Morning, Croatia » and « Sunday afternoon », and was a war reporter, not running away from the challenges or the most difficult times. But the life of Mirna Berend was not always inclined. After two decades of her career, she withdrew from the public, returned to Petrinja and dedicated to making jewelry and cosmetics.
Her house was killed again in the 2020 earthquake, but Mirna was still stood up, renewing and making. She changed her image, moved from black hair to silver tones, but she remained an invincible queen of her discipline. Today, he lives calmly, far from the spotlight, filled with silence and creativity, aware that all the blows shaped her strength and authenticity.
