Do we experience a conflict of civilization or just another critical phase?
The archaeologist, political scientist and zoologist also respond to the challenges of the present.
Civilizations are complex social and cultural systems. It is characterized by their way of economy and technology. Man creates them, but also destroys them. How they arise, how they work, how they disappear. Does nature move them in addition to culture and to what extent? It underestimates man in his reflections on the past of the environment and its significant changes. And have civilizations in some sense their parallels in communities of other animals?
The following public debate that took place in the old Lyceum building in Bratislava And it was prepared by the learned company of Slovakia in cooperation with the Slovak Academy of Sciences, it is an effort to bring an interdisciplinary view of important social issues. This was this time civilization – its definition and individual forms in historical time or challenges for our present.
