DN-tips: Best TV series and movies to stream right now
« The studio »
Apple TV+, 26/3. Series creator: Alex Gregory. With: Seth Rogen, Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Bryan Cranston, Martin Scorsese and 10 episodes x 30 min.
« So far the most fun comedy series so far, » DN’s Helena Lindblad wrote about « The Studio ». Agree! Seth Rogen is perfect as the uncertain studio manager in this both hysterically screwed up and boundless navel -gazing Hollywoodsatir. Bed for a maximum secondary comb and uncomfortable Larry David situations when Rogen’s film-loving nerd tries to balance art and commerce-all to appease his unpredictable über manager (played by « Breaking Bad » star Bryan Cranston). As a cream on the dream factory mash, the series offers a pearl band of Cameoroller where film profiles such as Martin Scorsese, Sara Polley, Zoë Kravitz and Ron Howard play themselves with bravur.

« The man without face » (1976)
SVT Play, 28/3. Director: Nicolas Roeg. With: David Bowie, Candy Clark, Rip Torn, etc. 2 hours and 19 min.
Wonderful cult film where David Bowie makes the role of his life as a extraterrestrial climate refugee in search of water to save his dying planet that was destroyed by environmental degradation and war. Nicolas Roeg’s filming of Walter Tis Roman is a magical, mysterious trip-a drama about loneliness and alienation, a satire over the consumer society and part of the 70s dystopian sci-fi wave that depicted the consequences of human violence against nature.
