Director (27) who arrived Gerben (14) arrested in Sint-Laureins for attempted manslaughter, passenger (19) for guilty absenteeism (Sint-Laureins)

The driver and the passenger of the car who, in the night from Thursday to Friday, ripped a 14-year-old in Sint-Laureins and so very dangerous to him, were arrested. The public prosecutor of East Flanders reports this. For the driver (27) it is about attempted manslaughter. For the passenger (19) it is guilty absenteeism.
The 14-year-old Gerben was taken to the hospital in the night from Thursday to Friday after a suspected collision by a vehicle. The boy is currently in an artificial coma after a self -proclaimed vapes seller consciously hit him after a ‘deal’ got out of hand. The boy has broken eye sockets, a torn lower lip, several fractures in his lower jaw, a bruised right lung and two fractions on his right leg.
The public prosecutor confirmed on Saturday morning that two men were arrested. It concerned the 27-year-old driver of the vehicle and the 19-year-old passenger.
Both were brought before the investigating judge on Saturday afternoon. The public prosecutor of East Flanders announced on Sunday morning that the two were arrested. For the driver (27) it is about attempted manslaughter. For the passenger (19) it is guilty absenteeism.
