The European Union has decided a major change in the way bank payments are managed by eliminating traditional account numbers for customers. This measure, which will also have to be applied in Romania, is part of a broad process of digitizing and securing payment systems in all Member States, writes Realitatea Plus. By 2030, bank account numbers, together with other information such as expiration or CVV code, will disappear from physical bank cards.
