Digi is the cheapest mobile telecom operator in the country, except for the most greediest data lurpers. This is evident from the latest prices study from TelecomRegulator BIPT.
According to the government agency, the arrival of Digi on the Belgian market has caused « a breakthrough » on the mobile telephony market. Many brands have responded to the competitive range of Digi with price and volume adjustments.
It is striking that the counterattack mainly came from B brands such as Hey!, Mobile Vikings and Scarlet. The main brands Base, Orange, Proximus, Telenet and VOO, according to the BIPT, held on to the underlying trend to increase the data volume offered instead of the price. In some cases they even raised the price.

The BIPT compared the prices for five user profiles. For the three profiles with the lowest data consumption – 5, 10 and 20 GB per month – Digi was the cheapest from the comparison. Intensive and very intensive (50 and 100 GB) users find the best prices at Hey! And tadaam. An average private consumer consumed 10.1 GB per month last year.

An important comment is that the price comparison does not take the quality of the service into account. It can differ. For example, Digi does not yet offer access to a 5G network and customers do not receive a voicemail service, things that are usually included with other operators.
