A dietitian has revealed that eating the skin of one particular fruit can help you ‘double your fiber intake’.

In a video shared on social media Tiktok, dietitian Abbey Sharp told her she’s eating the skin from her kiwis. While many may think it seems disgusting to eat the skin of a kiwi, there is no reason for it – not even because of the fur -like surface.

According to British media Express, the skin actually contains more fibers and antioxidants than the pulp itself, which is why you miss a lot of good cases by just throwing it in the trash.

But Abbey reassured viewers that you don’t necessarily have to eat the ‘fur’ to get more fibers out of it. Instead, brush your hair off with a small brush or scrape them away with a spoon and then eat the skin as normal.

A standard size kiwi contains about two grams of fibers, but when the skin is eaten, the amount increases to about 3.5 grams of fiber per day. portion. Therefore, there should be no doubt that there is actually an easy way to increase fiber intake.
