Streit escalated: 44-year-old killed in Dietikon-the police assume suspect
In the event of a violent argument in an apartment in Dietikon, a man was fatally injured on Sunday night. A suspect was arrested.
A 44-year-old man was killed in a dispute in Dietikon.
At around 1 a.m., the report at the operations center of Protection and Rescue Zurich received that an injured, lifeless person had been found in an apartment in Dietikon. In the end, an immediate emergency doctor could only determine the death of the man, whereupon the police were called up, as the Zurich cantonal police wrote in a message. The investigation on site showed that the 44-year-old Swiss, most likely in the event of a previous dispute, was violently killed.
The registration facility was in the victim’s apartment when the rescue workers arrived. The 30-year-old Swiss is suspected and was arrested. The exact course of the crime and the motive of the crime are currently not clarified and are examined by the Zurich cantonal police and the public prosecutor’s office for violent offenses.
Together with the Zurich cantonal police, the Schlieren city police, the emergency services and an emergency doctor from the Limmattal Hospital, the Forensic Institute Zurich (for), the Institute of Law Medicine at the University of Zurich, a service dog manager of the Winterthur city police, a representative of the city of Dietikon and the responsible public prosecutor.
