Died George Wendt from the hit series ‘Capric Blindly’
George Wendtbest known for his role in the norm in the ‘Caprico Café’ series, died at the age of 77, reports Guardian. The comedian and actor who had an Emmy nomination was known for his long -standing role in that sitcom. He also appeared in the series ‘Family Man’ and ‘Frasier’.
His death was confirmed by his publicist in an official statement.
– George was a caring family man, a favorite friend and a confidential interlocutor to anyone who was lucky to know him – the statement said.

He passed away calmly in his dream, in his home.
George Wendt was born and grew up in the Beverly district on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. His parents were Loretta Mary (born Howard) and George Robert WendtNavy officer and real estate agent. He had eight siblings. Wendt is of Irish and part of German descent, and among his nephews is the famous actor and former member of Saturday Night Live Jason Sudeikis.
He was educated at the Campion High School in Wisconsin, and then enrolled in the University of Notre Dame, but was expelled for poor grades. He later graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Rockhurst College at Kansas City.
After college, he joined the famous improvisation group ‘The Second City’ in Chicago, where he worked from 1974 to 1980. He also met his future wife here Bernadette Birkettwho also starred in a ‘cafe’ cafe ‘as the voice of Norma’s wife Vera.
Wendt starred in the series ‘Café Uzdravlje’ from 1982 to 1993, appearing in all 275 episodes of the popular sitcom. He was nominated for six Emmy awards for his work on the series.

He participated in 2023 in the American version of the show ‘The Masker Singer’ and in the Christmas comedy ‘Christmas with the Campbells’ of 2022. He also again met with members of the acting line -up ‘Café Uzdravje’ at the Emmy Award last year.
