Did not expect to dude
Matthildur Bjarnadóttir is the dux of the Reykjavík High School, but she graduated with the overall score 9.65 of the natural sciences 1.
Reykjavik High School graduated 194 students at the University Cinema on Friday 30 May.
In a conversation with mbl.is, Matthildur says he did not expect to become the school’s Dux and that was not the goal.
« I really had no idea, but I naturally wanted to do my best, » says Matthildur.
Asked who is the key to her success, she says she is not sure.
« I just learned a lot, look, » she says, laughing.

Aiming to go to medicine
Matthild’s favorite subject at the school was either chemistry or biology, but she plans to go into medicine this fall.
« I applied in Denmark and have to get an answer on July 28, » says Matthildur, who applied for school accommodation in schools in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Aalborg and Odinsvé.
« It was just a lot of fun, just everything. »
Asked if something special stands out of the time in MR, Matthildur says the schooling has been very fun.
« It was just a lot of fun, just everything. I found the study awesome and also very fun like on the violin ball and stuff, » says Matthildur, but the school’s sixth grades hold the ball annually and dance the old dances there.

Matthildur takes his cohort on a graduation trip to Albufeira, Portugal in mid -June, and is very excited for it.
