DHL plane crashed in Vilnius due to a pilot because of human failure / day
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, to carefully investigate the circumstances of the disaster, the Spanish authorities were submitted to the authorities to conduct the necessary investigation activities on the basis of the European Investigation Warrant, to issue a suspicion of suspicion of the pilot of the aircraft who is treating and questioning him.
Analyzing and collecting data from the interrogation of Lithuania, the inspection of the accident, the aircraft’s flight register data and the pilot cab conversation records, as well as other data obtained during the investigation, concluded that the accident was probably caused by the fact that the hydraulic system was turned on.
The prosecutor’s office concluded that the facts obtained during the investigation have not confirmed other versions.
16 people have been recognized in the pre -trial investigation as victims in this case.
As reported, a DHL cargo plane with a four -person crew crashed near Vilnius Airport on November 25. One of the pilots, a 48 -year -old Spanish citizen, was killed. The other three crew members – a Spanish citizen, a German citizen and a Lithuanian citizen – were injured.
The airplane slid on the ground several hundred meters to a residential building with 13 people. The building caught fire, but all its inhabitants were rescued.
At the end of December, the Lithuanian Ministry of Justice announced that the preliminary analysis of the DHL aircraft’s « Black Castle » information had not revealed signs of illegal intervention.
The crashed Boeing 737 operator is the Spanish airline Swiftair, from which the aircraft was leased to DHL. The aircraft, which had arrived from Leipzig, Germany, crashed shortly before landing at Vilnius Airport.
