DFB Cup 24/25: schedule and appointments

In the DFB Cup, 64 clubs compete against each other at the beginning. The K.-O. system is the game mode both in the main rounds and in the final games. The DFB Cup is one of the most important competitions in German football. After Bayer Leverkusen secured the DFB Cup in May 2024, the cards were mixed up for the 2024/25 season. Bayer Leverkusen did a march last season and also got the German championship title. It remains to be seen whether success will continue for the coming season. But when did the DFB Cup 2024/25 start? What does the game plan look like?

Start and dates of the DFB Cup season 2024/25

The starting signal for the DFB Cup season 2024/25 was found on August 16, 2024 with three games of the 1st main round. The first round lasted until August 28, 2024. The second main round then followed in autumn 2024. The round of 16 starts in December. The final is scheduled for Saturday, May 24th, 2025. Here you will find the overview again:

DFB Cup 24/25: schedule
