Li Ga-Eun often shields himself crying at home, while he severe her eight-year-old son.

She worked with the whole decade as a teacher in the South Korean city of Busan.

But in March last year, her world turned upside down when a student showed her picture of her face stuck on a bare body, which was created with the help of a dipheire technology.

Ga-EUN (not her real name) believes that many her students saw those pictures.

« Whenever staring at me, I couldn’t ask if they saw a photo and did they look at me to check it in and to give them into the eyes as before, » she says.

She has been on sick leave for the last seven months.

« I wanted to be a teacher, and that dream has never changed, » Eun said.

« But now, because of depression and anxiety, I have to take five pills a day. I still feel powerless, and I think it will take before I can get back. »

About a year earlier, English teachers in higher grades of primary school in Gjongi, which we will call Park Seho, its izmanipulated image on the website called Dcinside.

The photo was originally taken from the message for the exchange of messages it used to communicate only with her students.

Her face, along with the face of an unknown man, was pasted on bodies of two monkeys in sexual act.

She says she was so shocked if she couldn’t breathe for a moment.

« I woke up in the middle of the night for a while, hitting the fist in a pillow of anger. I couldn’t control myself helplessly, and the thought of getting up even my son was unbearable, » she added.

« I was with these students from the very beginning and we spent three years together. I really careed about them and they had a great relationship. They were known for being wonderful pupils, so it was a big shock for me. »

She ordered the students that he would not report it to the police if the perpetrator admitted what he did, but no one answered.

In the end, she went to the police, but they told her there they could not find any evidence and closed the case without even questioned, she said.

In the end, she gave up trying to find the culprit.

The country was recently affected by the jump with a diphine pornography in schools.

In September, the BBC reported that more than 500 schools and universities were affected.

In August 2024. the union of Korean teachers and educational workers (KTU) conducted research, asking teachers and students whether they have ever been victimized illegally ilipulated images – 2,492 cases were reported.

The teachers are often expected to continue to do their job after becoming victims, even when a student who suspects that the culprit may have remained in the classroom.

Some, like Ga-EUN, took sick leave.

But if sick leave exceeds a week, they must undergo an investigation that the school board must eventually sign.

« I don’t know if I’m more suffering from a diphine or because of the fight against educational authorities, » Euna sighed.

Ga-EUN also believes that much has to be done to educate students about the seriousness of the pornography diphine.

A survey conducted by the Ministry of Education in December last year for more than 2,000 higher grade school students and high school showed that there is no awareness of crimes associated with the diphire.

Police officers are also trained for secrets and investigations against cyber crimes.

« I want to know that they never was just a joke. I believe you have to feel guilty after all the curiosity … I caused me a lot of pain, » she said as her voice shivers.

« They completely changed my life. »
