Detained six members of the far-right group Lusitano movement
The Judicial Police detained six members of the Lusitanian Armillary Movement, a far right group. At issue are suspected of crimes related to terrorist activities and discrimination.
The arrests occurred in the context of an operation to comply with 15 search and seizure warrants, home and non -home.
The six detainees are strongly indicted for the crimes of “violations related to groups and terrorist activities, discrimination and incitement to hatred and violence and detention of a banned weapon”, reads in the PJ statement.
During the searches, explosive material of various types, various firearms was seized, some of which produced through 3D technology, several 3D printers, several dozen ammunition, various white weapons, computer material, among other evidence.
In the origin of the investigation is the « online detection of indicators of extremist manifestations by apologists of nationalist and extreme right and violent ideologies, followers of an antisystem and conspiracy ideologies, which encouraged discrimination, hatred and violence against immigrants and refugees. »
The PJ also informs that the detainees are suspected of integrating the so-called Lusitano Armillary Movement (evil), which « intended to be a political movement, supported by an armed militia. »
The Court will now be present for the first interrogation and application of coercion measures.
