Detained at Porto Homem Airport that ‘traced’ from Turkey

A 48 -year -old man was arrested by the Judiciary Police at Sá Carneiro airport in Porto on suspicion of minors and immigration aid.

The suspect of foreign nationality was accompanied by a six -year -old girl who claimed to be her daughter and was trying to enter the national territory from a flight from Istanbul in Türkiye.

It was indicted for the commission of minors, falsification of documents and assistance to illegal immigration.

The situation was communicated to the PJ by the Public Security Police of the Porto International Airport Border Post.

« The action of the Judicial Police allowed to collect strong evidence that points to a situation of transportation of foreign smaller citizens, for possible exploitation or illegal adoption, since the documentation presented by the indictment was false documents, regarding the age of the minor and the relationship of invoked, » says the PJ through a statement.

The detainee has already been present to the judicial authorities for interrogation, and the pre-trial detention measure was applied.

The child was accepted in a protection reception center under the purposes of the Family and Minors Court.
