In North Korea there was a serious accident for a solemn ceremony for a new destroyer of the North Korean Navy. As the State North Korean news agency KCNA reported on Thursday, the accident occurred when a new 5,000 tons of heavy destroyers in the eastern port city of Chongjin was left off the stack.
According to KCNA, « inexperienced commanders and operational negligence » were responsible for the accident. During the mishap, « some parts of the floor of the warship were crushed ». According to KCNA, the North Korean ruler Kim Jong-UN described the incident as a « criminal act that was caused by absolute negligence » and which could « not be tolerated ». The « irresponsible mistakes » of the responsible civil servants would be a topic at the next general assembly of the party’s central committee.
Destroyers can be equipped with nuclear weapons
