At one time, a prominent Latvian cultural worker, who had been in Japan, honestly admitted that sushi that can be obtained in Latvia is not at all like the original. A similar risk is, of course, anyone who thinks about the paraphrase of one of the forms of Japanese theater in Latvia. Choosing a novel by Yukio Mishima Golden temple Lelde Stumbres’ dramatization (Inguna Becker translation), and director Henry Aray, of course, walks on a thin ice, but he can find a lot in his production.

Rizhakova writes: « Interestingly, the idea fits into the characteristic national romantic interpretation model, which connects the pathos of protest with the spirit of ethnic unity, maintained by small » knowledgeable « groups, clairvoyants that have preserved this holy knowledge through the centuries. » Simon Orinsky’s new show is invited as a choreographer of movement, but this is a text -based production in which the stylized score of movement combined with Adrian Tom Kulpe’s visual image and Plato Buravicka’s music creates a peculiar world with its aesthetic, stylistic and content.
Jukio Mishima (1925-1970) is basically known for the Latvian viewer for the work staged by Alvis Herman’s twice at the new Riga Theater Marquis De Sada. Novel Golden temple Latvian was published in the book in 1997. But overall, Mishim’s heritage is still not available in Latvian so that we can say that we can get a semi -full picture of this writer who chose to finish his life for himself. For example, a play with a provocative name My friend Hitler Latvian was staged only in amateur theaters (and with a changed name).
Henry Araya’s production is a message that the collapse of idealized notions causes the young man to be destroyed and the desire to destroy the apparent benchmark for beauty that has dazzled with external perfection but disappointed in content. The poor young man in the portrayal of Uldis Siliņš in Midzoguci’s pure physically physically National Theater’s New Hall in front of the audience sitting in the eyes of the audience sitting in his exterior, as if the frozen form.
