Deputy Minister of Education and Science Andriy Vitrenko again accused of plagiarism. Signs of academic dishonesty were found in his dissertation, defending which the official gained the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.

In addition, the work revealed falsification – the author used numerical data from the work of a colleague, replacing the source of information. Moreover, the research period was replaced from 1997-1999 to 1991-2001, although their content remained the previous one.
The authors of the analysis noted in the candidate’s work a large number of substitution and rewritten from the works of Russian and Kazakh scientists. Activists believe that the dissertation of Deputy Minister Andriy Vitrenko is « stuffed with other people’s texts ».
The editorial office of « UP. Life » appealed to Andriy Vitrenko to comment on the accusation. As of the time of publication, she did not receive the answer.
Who is Andrei Vitrenko?
Andriy Vitrenko received his higher education at the Kyiv National Trade and Economic University and later worked at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 2005, he defended his PhD thesis, and in 2017 he received his doctorate in economic sciences.
