Deputies discussed the fight against satanism and destructive ideologies
Satanism threatens the national security of Russia – participants in the round table in the State Duma unanimously came to this conclusion. In particular, deputies are worried about the increasing number of Satanic sex orgias. The head of the Duma defense committee Andrei Kartapolov is sure that Satanism is “a form of struggle, which is conducted by the United West against our country.” It is manifested, according to the participants in the discussion, very widely – from the activities of psychologists, nutritionists, tarologists, magicians and coach to the teenage subcultures of Furri and Quadrober.
On April 8, the Duma Committee for the Development of Civil Society held a round table « On counteracting the spread of Satanism and other destructive cults and ideologies. » The discussion of how to prevent the “massive attack of Satanism” on Russia began with the prayer “King of Heaven” (read by believers before the start of any work in order to call for the help of the Holy Spirit). “In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit! The President of Russia clearly expressed himself, against which Russia is currently fighting – against world Satanism. And lawmakers cannot pass this fateful statement, ”said deputy Nikolai Burlyaev (SRZP) to the reason for the meeting. According to him, today « the global scenario of the collapse of traditional spiritual and moral foundations is not implemented. » So, the parliament receives numerous messages “On Satanic Sex Orgies” in Moscow and other cities of Russia. The film distribution show shows the films « Satanic orientation », at the book fair in the Gostiny Dvor, « Hundreds of Colorful Books on Satanism » are sold. “A departure from traditional values and moral ideals can lead to the collapse of our civilization state,” Mr. Burlyaev gave a gloomy forecast.

For obvious reasons, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church warmly supported the struggle against Satanism. Bishop of Skopinsky and Shatsky Pitimim pointed to the deputies to hidden Satanists – according to him, they can “reproach” in psychologists, nutritionists, tarologists, magicians and coach. None of the speakers has given a specific definition of Satanism.
The attempt to formulate this concept was made only by the chairman of the Patriarchal Commission on family issues, the protection of motherhood and childhood, Priest Fedor Lukyanov. “The ideology of Satanism is based on hatred of a human person and life as such,” he said. According to Mr. Lukyanov, Satanism, LGBT (movement is recognized in the Russian Federation extremist and prohibited), “school shooting” and abortion is one source. Then the priest expanded this list at the expense of adolescence of the animalist’s pure – quadroberry, Terian and Furri. As a result, Mr. Lukyanov urged at once to ban generally “destructive” ideologies.
The host of the Spas TV channel Anna Shafran warned that there are some forces in the country that are actively opposed to the recognition of Satanism with an extremist movement. In her opinion, this is evidenced by the reaction of the media to the last round table in the Duma, where this topic was discussed (“Kommersant” wrote about this event on July 2, 2024). “The order was made by the grid according to the training manual to work out the held round table,” said Ms. Safran with knowledge of the case. “On the subject of why to engage in this satanism. That all who raises this issue are some blessed, who have nothing to do. There were attempts to blur this question, to somehow ridicule, to sneak on it. And this is a very clear signal that they are watching us very carefully. Someone really does not want Satanism to be prohibited in Russia. ”
