Deprived of liberty businessman Krmzov
Police deprived businessman Risto Krmzov this morning, for whom an investigation was launched for abuses estimated at around 15m euros.
Krmzov has been arrested by a public prosecutor’s order by the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption.

An investigation into the case known as « Krmzov » is coming to an end, was confirmed at a briefing with Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski in November last year and pointed out that information on the abuse of millions of sales related to VAT on companies would soon be published.
In September, a tax evasion action was carried out in companies in Strumica, Skopje and Gostivar. Four people were detained, and the State Prosecutor informed that a case for tax fraud and money laundering was formed and that three people were heard, and one was proposed for precautionary measures.
An investigation by the authorities on the « Krmzov » case shows that more millions of euros from Eurostandard Bank are transferred to accounts in Turkey. The investigation, according to media reports, is spreading to several Strumica companies, which were part of the scheme of Strumica businessman Risto Krmzov for the abuse of money.
Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said on September 16, last year, regarding the latest tax evasion action that it was one of a series of such investigations that would follow in the coming period.
