The government cannot maintain low -cost production.
Recently, we have witnessed how many shoe and textile manufacturers announced a departure from Slovakia. The causes are clear. Slovaks are too expensive for these factories, based on cheap labor. Whether salaries are just above the minimum wage could be argued. However, the seams in the regions were also advice for such a poorly paid job.
Now they will have to retrain (probably hard to do), go to another factory, such as car parts, where they pay more, or for the cash register or stay at home without work. But it would be a burden on the welfare state that has been trying to build Fico’s fourth government for years.
The fact that companies with cheap workforce are leaving Slovakia may also be a positive – if we look at it with optics that investors see other opportunities for employing highly qualified specialists, for example in the IT sector. But it is not the reality of this country.

New investors have been in Slovakia in recent years as saffron. The two big (Volvo and Gothion Inobat Batteries) go again to build factories on electricity and batteries. Will be more sophisticated than cables (which hawkly escaped to Romania), but it will still be races with by belt production.
Worse, the government, by its tax policy with the slogan: to take successful and actively, and to give itself to the pensioners, it also expels domestic companies from Slovakia.
