Dentist (71) with throat fetish stays in jail, the police receive 40 new reports of possible victims (Wilrijk)
Carl S. (71), the dentist from Wilrijk who was arrested last week on suspicion of sex offenses, remains in jail. The police received 40 new reports of possible victims. « It concerns similar facts, but also about vaginal examinations, » says the public prosecutor.
The investigation into dentist Carl S. (71) from Wilrijk was started at the end of last year after a complaint from a woman. S. would have gone deep with his fingers in her throat during a ‘throat disinfection’, a non-existent medical procedure. S. would be excited about that action, the public prosecutor even stated that there was a ‘throat fetish’.
During house searches in the home and the practice of S., the police seized a large amount of computer material. During the analysis of that material, the investigators not only found images of those ‘throat disinfects’, but also images of child abuse. Carl S. was arrested on Wednesday.
According to the public prosecutor, the dentist committed abuse at least 3 known victims, but it did not conclude that more victims would report. « After the arrest and arrest, a press release was distributed last Thursday in which an email address was also shared, » says parquet spokesperson Kato Belmans.
« Possible victims were able to make known there. Through that way, the police have now received about 40 reports. These are similar facts, but also, for example, vaginal investigations, » says Belmans. « A number of reports are about facts that are no longer prosecuting, because they happened too long ago. Those reports are added to the current investigation for information. » The victims will be invited in the following period to make a statement with the investigators.
Minors
Carl S. appeared on Monday before the council chamber, who decided to confirm his arrest. « The facts are qualified as a damage to sexual integrity, rape, possession of images of sexual abuse of minors and unable to treatment with regard to a vulnerable person. »
