Denis Pasler said goodbye to Orenburg and went to his homeland
The acting governor of the Sverdlovsk region Denis Pasler managed to perform at once in two constituent entities of the Russian Federation. In the morning, he said goodbye to the residents and officials of the Orenburg region, which he led the last six years, and, having not managed to restrain his tears, apologized for unfinished affairs. And in the late afternoon, noticeably cheerful, he came to his native Sverdlovsk region and called on his new subordinates to work « already from today. »
The farewell of Denis Pasler with the Orenburger turned out to be emotional. Speaking at the ceremony of the presentation of the acting governor Evgeny Solntsev, Mr. Pasler admitted that he did not manage to “know” the subject entrusted to him in 2019, although he “discovered a lot for himself”: “Despite the fact that he worked for six years, I want to say that the potential of the region is definitely not exhausted, and secondly, not studied.” Then the official thanked for the joint work of all Orenburgers, the Plenipotentiary of the President in the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov, former governors Yuri Berg and Alexei Chernyshev, municipal chapters, deputies of the legislative, government members, as well as the judicial corps and federal services. At that moment, the voice of the ex-governor trembled, and he asked for a glass of water.
“If they give, I’ll say two words, can I? – the official joked. – I probably wanted to ask for forgiveness from everyone who, God forbid, as they say, offended the word, or did not finish the things that had to be finished. «
Recall, on March 26, President Vladimir Putin invited Denis Pasler to head his native Sverdlovsk region, and the Prime Minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic Yevgeny Solntsev appointed his place. As the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov later explained, including this decision is connected with the successful work of Mr. Pasler to eliminate the consequences of the flood in the spring of 2024.
Immediately after the performance in the Orenburg House of Soviets, Denis Pasler went to his residence in Yekaterinburg. There, former colleagues and subordinates were waiting for him (from 2008 to 2012, the official worked as a deputy of the regional parliament, and from 2012 to 2016 – the chairman of the regional government). But at first, the acting spoke with the president’s envoy in the Ural Federal District Artem Zhoga. “You are a person here is not new, you know all the infrastructure well, all underwater currents and difficulties,” Mr. Zhoga greeted him.
At the ceremony, the plenipotentiary thanked the former governor Evgeny Kuyvashev for the multiplied “industrial and defense potential” of the region, and also assured the audience that Denis Pasler “knows the region not only as an official, but also as a person who deeply understands local features, culture and traditions”.
Mr. Pasler himself recalled that he was familiar with many sitting in the hall, and also admitted that « it was very honorable and nice to return to his homeland. »
“The time that Evgeny Vladimirovich worked (Kuyvashev. – « Kommersant »), this is a big, long way, a lot has been done, which deserves the respect of everyone. Thank you from all Urals, ”he turned to the ex-governor. Acting also emphasized that he was counting on joint work with deputies and officials “already from today”: “I am glad to see everyone for work.”
Evgeny Kuyvashev began a farewell speech with gratitude to the president, who supported the “almost all” of his initiatives, and then stated that he knew Denis Pasler as a “competent, smart, strong, talented” manager: “Sverdlovsk region in reliable hands”.
Holding back tears, Mr. Kuyvashev also finished the repentance: « If I offended someone, forgive me. »
Answering the questions of journalists about the upcoming shifts in the government, the acting governor asked him to give him time to “get acquainted with everyone”. He left the residence in the company of Artem Zhogi and Evgeny Kuyvashev. In the evening, together with the plenipotentiary, Mr. Pasler attended the match of the Yekaterinburg hockey club « Motorist » against the Kazan « Ak Bars ». Judging by the post of Artem Zogi in Telegram, the ex-governor was no longer nearby.
