On Tuesday evening, the police started the water cannon several times and thrown tear gas grenades at a pro-Palestinian demonstration at the Israeli embassy in Brussels. The demonstration initially went quietly, but afterwards became grim. There were two hundred demonstrators present.
The demonstration had started at 6 pm. Around 7.15 pm the demonstrators left for Ter Kamerenbos, where a policie line with water cannon was waiting for them.
A few demonstrators blocked the road and tried to burn a fire on the roadway. Various demonstrators also threw branches towards the police. The demonstrators wanted to break the line, whereby the order services sprayed with tear gas for the first time.

Afterwards, the atmosphere became grim at a rapid pace. The police have used the water cannon several times and thrown tear gas grenades to drive the demonstrators apart. An offensive from the police put an end to the demonstration around 7.45 pm and the demonstrators drove the Ter Kamerenbos.
According to a participant in the demonstration that wanted to stay anonymously, « Belgium is flagrant with the feet, » it sounds. « It ignores statements of the International Court of Appeal, glorified ‘Beeper’ attacks that have killed children and prevents a great power display at all prize. According to Uccle mayor Boris Dilliès (MR) it was « again a spontaneous demonstration that was not allowed ».
